Omar Igotopoty (pronounced O-My, I-got-to-potty) is the stage name for Omar Potts. He is a halfling from the city of Katapesh. Omar had a fairly normal childhood and found it easy to make friends. He was always cracking jokes and enjoyed making people laugh. His natural talents led him to start performing in local taverns and bars as a comedian. Drunken sailors at the docks make such easy targets to make fun of and are always quick to laugh. Omar has several places where he is hired to perform regularly, but he always is anxious to try a new crowd and expand his craft. He has recently taken to weaving his jokes into songs and has found it to be quite effective.
One day, a merchant that had a little too much beer and Pesh in his system took offense to one of Omar jokes, and hired a few goons to rough him up. Omar talked his way out of the jam he was in, by convincing the goons that the merchant deserved the hilarious joke. Omar found the wisdom in having able bodied friends to bacuk him up and is always looking to make more. Omar has made his share of enemies in Katapesh and has eventually learned that if he can’t disarm them with his clever quips, he better have a quicker whip.
